This week letters went out to 12 artists for the Lookshow opening in ArtSpace (WFG Cinematheque & OUTPUT Venues) at the end of September. Murray Toews will lead the way in Winnipeg with Ken Gregory, Grace Nickel, Leif Norman, Nicole Shimonek, Leigh Konyk, Lora Van Loewen making visual images whether still and sculptural or moving on video-tape/digital loops. Composer and cellist Leanne Zacharias is making a work to be played and recorded as an Overture, and Andrea van Wichert will be directing actors (not yet confirmed) working with text written by Victor Enns, exploring his multiple disabilities as detailed in Pieces of my Mind/My Body in Parts.
